Terms of service

These terms cover the Flockdeck relay at remote.flockdeck.ai and this website. They are an agreement between you and Jim Wright, an individual based in the United Kingdom ("we"). By turning on remote access with the shared relay, you agree to them.

The Flockdeck desktop app is separate. The desktop app is free and open source under the MIT licence. That licence, not these terms, governs how you use, copy and change the desktop app. The relay and the web client it serves are not open source: they are a service, provided to you under these terms.

The shared relay

The shared relay connects your devices to Flockdeck running on your own desktops, so that you can use your desktops from anywhere.

It is free to use for now. A paid plan for it is coming. We'll tell you before it starts, and you won't be charged unless you choose to subscribe.

• Your desktops, your responsibility. You are responsible for what runs on your desktops, for the devices you pair, and for keeping them secure. Anyone holding one of your paired devices can reach your desktops through it. If a device is lost, remove it.
• Not end-to-end encrypted. The relay decrypts traffic to route it, as the privacy policy explains. Don't use it for anything you wouldn't send through a service you trust to that extent.
• Fair use. The relay is shared, and it has limits on how often accounts can be created and devices paired. Please don't try to get around them.

What you must not do

Don't use the relay to:

• break the law, or to help anyone else break it;
• reach, or try to reach, a desktop, device or account that isn't yours;
• attack, probe, overload or disrupt the relay or its hosting, or anyone else's use of it;
• carry traffic that has nothing to do with using Flockdeck, such as using the relay as a general-purpose proxy or tunnel.

Suspension and removal

We may limit, suspend or remove an account, desktop or device that breaks these terms or that puts the relay or its users at risk. Where it's reasonable, we'll say why. You can stop using the relay at any time by turning remote access off, which deletes your data from it.

Availability and changes

The shared relay is provided as is. We aim to keep it running, but it may go down, be changed or be withdrawn, sometimes without notice. We make no promise that it will be available, uninterrupted or error-free.

A licence for companies to run the relay on their own infrastructure is coming. It will have terms of its own.

Liability

While the shared relay is free, to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss that comes from using it or from it being unavailable. This includes lost data, lost work, lost profits, and anything done through a device you paired.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you use the relay as a consumer, you keep your statutory rights.

Third-party software and services

Flockdeck runs agents and connects to model providers that you choose, such as Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, or a model API. They are provided by others under their own terms and policies, and these terms don't cover them.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The new version will be posted here with a new date. If you keep using the relay after a change, you accept the new terms.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you can also bring proceedings where you live.
